The North’s Response to Key Resolve again Shows its Weakness

The April satellite test is the inevitable outcome of the Norths Military-First state philosophy and its cashless barter-style acquisition method of extracting what it wants from foreigners. Perhaps if a large rich country ever adopted a military first policy, it would actually use its military. Key resolve is over, so communications have been restored between the two militaries of North and South, meaning that a regular level of unpredictability will return to their joint operation of the Gaesong industrial site. It again illustrated how the Norths annual protestations against Key Resolve, in which it takes its ball away from the game, are all it has in its armory, since it lacks the fuel, the modern fighter aircraft, and the courage to use the joint maneuvers as an opportunity to at least get some reconnaissance training in, as other countries do.
